Job Description

• Creating and developing the preliminary risk assessment in cooperation with other peers
• Controlling process hazard analysis and preliminary risk assessment teams
• Taking part of the process safety-knowledge group within the company
• Implementation and execution of both external (European regulation and Polish Law) and internal Guidelines related to process safety management
• Cooperation with key stakeholders to evaluate the technical, safety and regulatory impact of proposed equipment and process changes and advising for needed customisation
• Conducting comprehensive Process Hazard Analysis & Preliminary risk assessment in processes/facilities and capital projects
• Participate in and/or lead process safety incident investigations as needed
• Leading process safety related projects
• Organising and developing the Emergency Response Team in conjunction with Fire Specialists.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor or Master Degree in safety engineering with 2+ years operational working experience in a manufacturing company
• Experience in conducting HAZOP and SWIFT analysis
• Knowledge of basic chemistry / chemical processes and ability to interpret the dangers and risks
• Knowledge of machine safety Polish and European regulations
• Knowledge of design specifications related to process equipment
• Contact person towards engineering and production departments
• Social skills with functional authority to be able to work together with different levels of the organisation
• Self-motivated, reasonable, open minded
