This position reports to

Local Division Manager ProcessIndustries

Your responsibilities

  • Reports and investigations of HSE incidents. Feedback on lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across ABB to management and employees.
  • Support and approve HSE work in tenders, projects and service and keep relevant HSE templates up to date.
  • Implements policies and standards and ensures the area of responsibility is audited. Identifies, plans and initiates training needs, e.g. for employees, site managers.
  • Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of Group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
  • Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture, as well as a strong focus on the environment, throughout the respective organization.
  • Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive HSE performance.
  • Ensures that the appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used.
  • Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE-related projects. Develops and reports on project objectives.
  • Supervises health & safety working conditions at ABB sites in service works and at the customer's sites - several delegations per year.
  • Performing duties resulting from the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 2.09.1997 - on health and safety services.

Your background

  • Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or postgraduate studies in Health & Safety.
  • At least three years of HSE experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and employee relations skills. Ability to self-initiate actions, decision making, overcoming problems.
  • Presentation skills and negotiation.
  • English - fluent in speech and writing.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, EU directives, norms.
  • Willing to travel (business trips in Poland).
  • Driving license category “B”.
