As a Global Technical Support Specialist you will provide technical assistance to internal and external customers within Motion Business globally. You will ensures timely and cost-effective support in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines. Location: Europe

This position reports to

Team lead Smart Solutions support

Your responsibilities

  • Working directly with customers to fulfill service contracts.
  • Acting as main contact towards customer, own end-to-end process for service contract. From connecting the data gateways, to supporting customer on urgent basis and periodical reports and recommendations to customer
  • Creating Energy Efficiency reports and prioritize, classify, answer and close support cases coming from local ABB or end customers with service contracts.
  • Coordinating case escalation to R&D (retrieve all info and summarize case history)
  • Conducting regular technical meetings with R&D to get to know people and processes
  • Actively supporting global motion support center and local ABB to gain skills and know-how, for example by holding presentations during Service Expert Days
  • Providing feedback to factories on product and process issues

Your background

  • 3-5 years of experience working as Service Specialist
  • Sound knowledge of Service offering process.
  • Technical know-how of Motors and Drives would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of product and process portfolio of Motion, Smart Solutions would be an advantage
  • Technical know-how of ethernet network and LANs and
  • A Technical Diploma or Bachelor Degree in engineering field
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and within ABB, including good English skills
