Poland Boss: Maintenance Technician

Responsible for the following

  • Carry out periodic operation, repairs and maintenance according to guidelines and coordinate this maintenance with supervisor and other department leads.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including, but not limited to, environmental controls, water production, Hydraulic, pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, Fuel delivery system equipment, Motors, HVAC equipment, Water Chiller system equipment, MOV’s, Compressed air system, valves, actuators, dampers & pumps
  • Provide sound technical support to ensure equipment is in a constant state of readiness.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) to maintain safety and increase up-time of equipment.
  • Determine spare parts requirements and make recommendations for equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
  • Document all corrective and preventive maintenance performed.
  • Troubleshoot, identify root cause & repair equipment in a timely manner to minimize impact to operations
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Diagnoses and repairs systems in accordance with acceptable industry standards
  • Performs occasional cutting and welding utilizing both gas and electric welding equipment
  • Using necessary tools/equipment to perform work
  • Diagnosing/repairing of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Performing basic welding, cutting and fabrication
  • Experience in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics Maintenance

Administrative Duties

  • Prepares and submits reports, ensuing those reports for repair and maintenance of equipment are accurate and complete
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate with other departments prior to any major activity.
  • Communicate equipment problems or breakdown information.
  • Inform management of any technical problems or limitations that might affect safe operations.
  • Promotes a Safe and Respectful Work Environment:
  • Ensure that the permit to work and isolation system is in place and followed

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Previous electro/mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
  • Graduate of Trade School or University where knowledge and training acquired are applicable to job requirements – Preferred
  • Must be proficient with computers and have a familiarity with operational and maintenance publications
  • Must possess, or be able to secure and maintain a Secret Security clearance
