Job Description
The Foreign Disclosure Advisor (FDA) will assist the USFOR-A Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) with oversight and implementation of foreign disclosure programs within the HQs and subordinate units in theater. The FDA will assist the USFOR-A FDO with up to 200 monthly Classified Military Information (CMI) disclosures/ determinations and shall assist in developing, implementing and reviewing the applicable guidance for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The FDA will coordinate with the Theater Disclosure Officer, other CCMDs, governmental agencies and foreign entities, when required, concerning the disclosure of information. The FDA will provide assistance to all FDAs and FDRs (Foreign Disclosure Representatives), and USFOR-A staff when questions arise pertaining to Foreign Disclosure. The FDA will assist subordinate commands and staff personnel with Guidance on Foreign Disclosure policies, procedures and actions. The FDA will assist in developing and providing USFOR-A Foreign Disclosure training and other disclosure related training, when required. The FDA will assist FDO with updating and the development and staffing of all applicable USFOR-A disclosures and disclosure related policies and or SOPs. The FDA will assist USFOR-A and NATO RS staff when required in determining ISO disclosure requirements. The FDA will assist in all compiling and reporting, information, on time and when required, IAW CENTCOM policies, through a monthly roll up of disclosure/release statistics, training schedule and attendance records, spillage/compromise inquires/investigations and summary of general USFOR-A/RS support.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Education: Associate’s Degree and at least two years relevant security or FDO experience PLUS
  • Experience – Minimum two years Foreign Disclosure experience with at least one year in CCMD or Joint Task Force Staff
  • PLUS Specialized Training: Completion of DIA DIE FDO Course (Tampa) and USCENTCOM FDO training IAW USCENTCOM REGULATION 380-5
  • PLUS Special skills or qualifications –
  • Able to work independently with or without Supervision, willing to deploy, work extended hours in a high OPSTEMPO
  • Familiarity with USCENTCOM’s Area of Operation
  • Able to conduct policy research on US classified systems
  • Must be customer orientated
  • Previous experience as an Intelligence and/or Security Analyst a must
  • PLUS Clearance – TS/SCI and NATO TS

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree or at least four years relevant intelligence, security or FDO experience
  • At least 3 years as an intelligence officer
  • Experience working with NATO or other US led coalitions
