The parts go out. The parts come in. The parts are safely disposed of, and their hazardous waste is dealt with. Sounds simple in concept. But logistics is never simple.
As a logistics specialist you’ll supervise a growing team of 12, managing ingoing and outgoing parts from our specialist warehouse in Erdington.

You’ll need some warehouse management/supervisory experience, and you’ll need to know how to dispose of hazardous waste. Ideally, you’ll know this by having or working towards your WAMITAB qualification.

The warehouse is the main distribution centre for all sorts of metering assets, meters, flexes, pipes and all sorts else. Maintaining a slick operation is key to keeping our countries light and heating on. (Not that anyone can think about heating right now)

When the parts come back in for end of life care, your team will manage their safe disposal.

If this feels like you, take a peek at the perks below:

  • A bonus paid on personal and company performance
  • 25 days’ holiday (increasing to 26 after 2 years employment) plus statutory holidays – option to buy extra holiday days
  • A pension scheme where we double match your contribution (maximum Company contribution of 12%)
  • Paid expenses for any business travel and accommodation
  • A flexible benefit scheme where you can opt into a whole host of lifestyle options
  • Access to employee support, care, and assistance helplines

In March 2022, National Grid agreed to sell a 60% majority stake in National Grid Gas plc to the consortium comprising Macquarie Asset Management and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. The gas business remains part of the National Grid Group until the sale is completed, and we expect it to become a separate company in the second half of 2022.

This means we are currently in a period of both opportunity and uncertainty. While nobody knows exactly what things will look like in a years’ time, those who join the business now will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of Gas Transmission in the UK.

The closing date is Friday 2nd September. Sometimes I’ll need to close the ad early, so get your application in now.

Join our journey as we lead the transition away from natural gas towards Hydrogen and other sources of clean energy. Apply below.

I’ll respond to every single application.
