Job summary

We are recruiting for the role of Health and Wellbeing Officer in our HR team. This role is flexible and can be based from any of our Cafcass Offices.


We trust and empower colleagues to work in a hybrid way, providing the resources, equipment, and support, so that individually and collectively, we can be the voice of children and young people when the family court makes critical decisions about their futures.


Whilst this role is part of a team based from various offices nationally, There may be some requirement to travel occasionally. our teams work flexibly and remotely, so your proximity to the office doesn’t always have to be a critical consideration.

Job description

The role will work closely with Health and Wellbeing colleagues and the wider HR service, contributing to the delivery, development and innovation of Cafcass’ approach to Employee Health and Wellbeing which is based on practical support for physical and emotional wellbeing, employee resilience and mental health.

Should you join us your tasks will include:

  • Working with colleagues to support, guide and co-ordinate the work of the Health and Wellbeing Champions network.
  • Maintaining online resources and learning materials on intranet (Connect) and learning management system (Cafcass Learning).
  • Developing project plans and proposals to support implementation of new wellbeing resources or wellbeing events.
  • Applying Cafcass project management standards and templates to co-ordinate, monitor and report on project progress, liaising with other project team members or stakeholders as necessary.


Person specification
  • Vocational qualification in health and wellbeing advantageous but not essential, or substantial knowledge and experience of workplace wellbeing.
  • Possess a good working knowledge and awareness of current workplace health and wellbeing issues with a deep interest in improving wellbeing for Cafcass employees
  • Ability to collate and analyse information from a range of sources to develop proposals for improved service delivery and to inform longer term wellbeing plans.
  • Have the ability to create presentation and information materials in a range of formats and deliver training to a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to act as an ambassador for the Human Resources Team, portraying a professional and positive image of HR.
