We don’t just look for exam results – we’re looking for passion, personality, and the commitment to learn! Whatever your aspirations, you can expect excellent benefits, personal development, and a career that’s enriching and full of opportunity. Job Description About the role: Finance Valuation Control is based in Commercial Banking Finance and supports across Commercial Banking, Insurance and Group Corporate Treasury (GCT), by ensuring that balance sheet valuations are accurate, controlled and understood. You will be working at the heart of the organisation, gaining insight into how the banking and insurance industries operate. Although there are lots of numbers, Finance isn’t all spreadsheets. You will be learning how to tackle and explain complex problems while communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Whether it is coordinating new projects or discussing results with our traders, there is always plenty to get involved in. At Lloyds Banking Group we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and supportive workplace and you will be encouraged to contribute to key initiatives such as Inclusion and Diversity, Learning and Development and Sustainability. Whether you’re looking for a career in valuations, finance or professional services, this four-year programme offers a fantastic foundation to kick-start your career at Britain’s largest bank. Furthermore, you’ll gain a professionally recognised financial qualification equivalent to a Master’s degree. About the programme & what you’ll learn: Starting in September 2023, you’ll spend four years rotating through our key teams in Finance Valuation Control, providing you with an opportunity to understand how the team and the bank works. You’ll be assigned a programme-specific manager who will provide support throughout your journey. Whilst on the apprenticeship scheme around 20% of your time will be dedicated to ‘Mandatory Apprenticeship Hours’, which can include attending workshops, shadowing, reading, completing assignments etc. This means 80% of your role is applying your learning in the workplace, in a safe environment. Please note – as a result of this you’ll be expected to work from the office as and when required by the business. By the end of this programme, you’ll have a clear path for progression within Finance Valuation Control and also across the broader Lloyds Banking Group and a firm understanding of your strengths and career goals. We’ll also support you in achieving the Level 7 CIMA qualification, which will deepen your understanding of finance and means you’ll end the scheme as a fully qualified management accountant. What you’ll have: We’re looking for people who:

  • Are enthusiastic about learning new concepts and generating new ideas
  • Are curious and collaborative
  • Take pride in producing quality work
  • Have the motivation to manage workload and studying
  • Can be resilient under pressure
Entry requirements: We expect you to be motivated, ambitious and committed to your own development. In particular, you’ll be keen to get to grips with financial systems and processes.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs Grades 4 - 9 (inc. Maths at minimum B or Level 5 and English Language)
Please note - these can include predicted grades. Application Process: After completing your initial application, you’ll be required to complete an online test, Job Insight assessment, and if successful, attend an assessment centre.
