We’re looking for a talented Transport Controller to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on the day shift at our Preston Brook, Runcorn site, for our transport operations for our customer – Saint Gobain Interior Solutions (working hours Monday – Friday 0500 – 1330).

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of between £26,000 to £29,000 depending on experience. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• 
  Co-ordinate the transport operations on site at our customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
• Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders (drivers, customers, management and wider XPO colleagues)

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• 
  Operational experience and a good understanding of fast-paced transport teams
• Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail with a sound geographical knowledge of the UK
• Eligibility to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship
