An exciting opportunity for Screening Site Receptionist to join our team at the Early Phase Unit in Harrow.

You will assist in the conduct of studies across all therapeutic areas by welcoming the trial participants to the unit, and performing tasks related to their volunteer experience whilst also ensuring that the screening related ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) functions are fulfilled.

You will directly contribute to the completion of admission cohorts within set timelines. All work is conducted in accordance with ICH-GCP and following local regulatory requirements and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

You will need to be flexible with working hours as you will be required to work early shifts depending on the business needs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • First point of contact for all visitors (Volunteers / Corporate / Suppliers etc.) to the Unit.
  • Coordinating sign-in, visitor cards and log-books as required.
  • Providing hospitality as required
  • Ensure the required documentation is printed, collated and available.
  • Ensure that any electronic devices are charged and available.
  • Preparing and providing wrist bands, labels and lanyards for volunteers
  • Ensure that the required documents are requested, processed, and filed in accordance with local guidelines, e.g.: Identification documents, permits, NI numbers, next of kin details, GP details, etc.
  • Verifying each volunteer by checking them into the unit.
  • Obtaining a photograph of each volunteer if not present on the database.
  • Checking volunteer screening status.
  • Liaise with and provide volunteers update on their screening status.
  • Booking repeat visits if required.
  • GP notification and medical history requests.
  • Collating and filing required payment information from the volunteers.
  • Point of contact for payment queries until resolution – liaising with vendor and volunteers.
  • Bank holiday payment planning and communication between vendor, volunteer and Parexel staff
  • Coordination and distribution of participant and GP practice payments.
  • Flexible approach to work, namely supporting across the Screening and Enrollment and Recruitment team, in additional duties as and when required.
  • Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced, and objective manner.
  • Support and coordination of volunteer recreation activities in experimental phase as required.
  • Support with coordinating and arranging staff team build activities.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by line manager.

  • Preferably have experience of the clinical trials environment
  • Language: Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Computer literate: ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Education:

  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent
