The Role

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Marketing Executive to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Marketing and the rest of the team in implementing and executing our comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the entire group.

As a Marketing Executive, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our marketing efforts, ensuring the successful implementation of our strategies. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting and refining marketing copy for both online and print campaigns, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. You will also be responsible for proofreading and editing marketing materials to maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Generating creative content that resonates with our target audience, including videos, case studies, blogs, eNewsletters, and presentations. Your ability to think outside the box and produce engaging content will play a vital role in driving audience engagement and brand awareness.
  • Managing the Group's social media channels, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to enhance audience engagement and strengthen our online presence. This includes creating and scheduling social media posts, responding to comments and messages, and analysing social media performance to optimise our strategies.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and news by monitoring trade media, allowing you to create and deliver daily media alerts to keep colleagues updated. This will require strong research skills and the ability to deliver relevant and timely information.
  • Ensuring our company websites are kept up to date and relevant, providing visitors with accurate and engaging content. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to update web pages, upload new content, and optimise user experience.
  • Collaborating with external marketing suppliers, such as PR, SEO, and design agencies, by providing them with clear and comprehensive briefs. You will oversee their work to ensure successful delivery that meets specifications and aligns with our marketing goals.
  • Providing support for the Group and attendance at events, such as webinars, exhibitions, and conferences. This includes coordinating logistics, managing registrations, and assisting with the creation and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Managing the effective distribution of marketing materials, ensuring they reach the intended audience through appropriate channels. This may involve coordinating with printing companies, mailing lists, or digital platforms.
  • Maintaining and updating customer databases to ensure accurate and current contact information, allowing for effective targeting and segmentation in our marketing efforts.
  • Conducting market research to gather insights and stay up to date with the latest industry trends and developments. You will also monitor industry media to deliver timely information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to support collaborative marketing initiatives and partnerships.
  • Producing reports on marketing activities, including digital marketing performance, to provide valuable insights and measure the effectiveness of our strategies. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing data and providing actionable recommendations.

About you

Our ideal candidate for this role would be a dynamic individual who brings a unique set of skills and qualifications to the table. While not essential, a relevant CIM qualification or degree would be highly desirable. Additionally, the following skills and attributes are crucial for success in this position:

  • Digital Marketing Knowledge and Experience: Possessing a solid understanding of digital marketing principles, tools, and strategies is essential. Experience in managing digital campaigns, SEO, social media, and email marketing will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong Organisation Skills: As a Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Excellent organisational skills are vital for effectively planning, prioritising, and executing marketing initiatives within set deadlines.
  • Creative Flair: A creative mindset, both visually and in writing, will set you apart in this role. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) or Canva, as well as video editing skills, would be beneficial in creating engaging content.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail are critical to ensuring the accuracy and quality of marketing materials, including copy, graphics, and other media assets. Your keen eye for detail will contribute to maintaining a consistent brand image.
  • Strong Communication and Networking Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying ideas, collaborating with team members, and building relationships with stakeholders. Networking abilities will enable you to establish connections that can support our marketing efforts.
  • Teamwork and Independence: The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is important in this role. You should be self-motivated and able to contribute effectively within a team environment while also taking initiative and working autonomously when required.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience in managing projects, from planning to execution, will be valuable in ensuring successful delivery of marketing initiatives. Strong prioritisation skills will enable you to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Results-Focused with Analytical Skills: A results-oriented mindset will drive your efforts to achieve marketing goals. Additionally, possessing analytical skills to interpret data, measure campaign performance, and derive insights will help refine strategies and optimise marketing efforts.
