About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units within Jacobs and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.

Location: Based in either Gloucester or London 3 days per week with hybrid working available.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Project Support Officer to support the operational efficiency of the function. The role will support the Sizewell C (SZC) Design Authority to develop its financial and project reporting protocols, including risk reporting, and build relationships with the wider parts of the project that manage these aspects. The individual may also be required to attend and support reporting meetings. In addition to the core role, the individual will provide general project support to the SZC Design Authority management team, including document management and meeting co-ordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and thrive in a dynamic environment. They should enjoy working within a team, have strong interpersonal skills and well organised and able to manage their own workload independently.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Establishing the finance and project reporting protocols and implementing monthly.
  • Monitoring and reporting project risks.
  • Collating and managing project reporting.
  • Seeking to make the function more efficient in non-technical activities.
  • Supporting project meetings (providing input and support to management team).
  • Support to document management activities within the function.
  • General support to SZC Design Authority management team (such as organising meetings).
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Experience working with Office 365 applications
  • Microsoft outlook, especially managing multiple calendars
  • Excellent knowledge of working with excel spreadsheets, for finance/project controls
  • Specific experience of applications such as Teamcenter and SharePoint
  • Experience of working in a dynamic project environment with challenging deadlines
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and project control protocols within a project environment
  • Recognising, drawing out and utilising the skills of others
  • Getting results and making things happen
