Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire

Contract: Full time, part time and flexible


Responsibilities

As Rights of Way Officer, you’ll be working within the rights of way team, supporting them with community engagement activities and working with rights of way and access issues.

Your day to day will include:

  • Liaising with community groups, partners and dealing with customer correspondence from Parish Councils, farmers, developers and members of the public
  • Attending meetings with different organisations to provide advice and information
  • Being creative and cost focused to ensure that budgets are spent in the best way possible and for the local community to benefit from our quality service
  • Using your local knowledge of the area and ensuring landowners carry out their duties, enforcing the requirements when necessary.
  • Delivering difficult messages, whilst handing many scenarios including some that could be challenging, instructing contractors to undertake minor maintenance works

Who are we looking for?

This role of Rights of Way Officer is great for you if you can:

  • Drive and hold a full driving licence
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of health & safety with an interest in regulations around local land
  • Work with a range of stakeholders speak to individuals on a technical and non-technical basis
