What you’ll do

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be joining a diverse and inclusive team of strategists, product owners, researchers and designers to craft exceptional digital experiences for our Coutts clients, using your creative talent and technical expertise. You'll be the sole designer working in our advisor tools area, responsible for a range of digital tools and features that support our internal colleagues.

From trailblazers and pioneers to disrupters and challengers, you’ll gain unique experience designing products for clients who are shaping the fabric of UK society through their work.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Conducting research to deeply understand our colleagues and their bespoke needs
  • Weaving a compelling narrative around your designs, bringing to life your process through storytelling
  • Working flexibly to create inclusive digital experiences that reflect the award-winning service underpinning everything we do at Coutts
  • Partnering with our engineering partners and experts across the business to deliver incremental improvements, new features, and to help shape our future client experience vision
  • Engaging in team meetings, workshops and critiques

The skills you’ll need

To thrive in your role, you’ll need experience working in a customer-focused business along with an open mindset and inherent curiosity.

You’ll also bring:

  • An expert understanding of UX theory and methods
  • Knowledge of design patterns and standards across iOS, Android and Web
  • A practical understanding of visual design principles including hierarchy, layout, spacing, alignment, typography and colour
  • The ability to use tools like Figma, ProtoPie and UserZoom
