Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Service Desk Technician Apprentice with Nine23 Ltd an IT Solutions company based in Southampton.

Job Description:

Nine23 is not a normal high volume Managed service provider. We manage a number of high-profile clients in the compliance and regulatory arena where the quality of our support is paramount.  We are a small company with excellent working processes and procedures which will provide apprentices with an excellent starting point for their on-going career in IT.

One of the key areas within our business is the Service Desk which provides day to day contact with our Managed Service customers. Nine23 are expanding our Service Desk and are looking for an apprentice to join our team.

Joining the Service Desk is a great way to get an understanding and experience of how to deal with technical support and development, but also customer service and service management and is an opportunity to gain full employment for the right candidate.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

Service desk support and technical assistance.
Logging incidents and Service requests into our Service desk toolset.
Escalating and managing tickets where necessary.
Commitment to your professional study.


Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Must be IT literate
Problem solving
Customer service skills

Good verbal and written communications skills.
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently

Additional Information:

Most staff are working from home – this will continue for the foreseeable future.  There will be instances where travel to the Chilworth site will be expected.

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components.
Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
Maintain regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
Support the information systems needs for your business.
