We wish to appoint a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Design and Technology specialist with the willingness and confidence to teach across the disciplines of Design Technology, Food and Art and make a significant difference to our students, through highly effective teaching.

Wellacre Academy is a happy and thriving 11-16 school for boys in the heart of Trafford. We have high expectations for all our students and our policies and practices are values driven. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse co-curricular programme that develops character and inspires our students. We all work together to instil a strong sense of belonging for all, which enables students to succeed and become active members of the community as they move into adulthood.

The post offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to shaping and delivering an innovative curriculum with opportunities to further develop students’ passion and confidence through curricular and co-curricular experiences. Design and Technology, Food and Art are well resourced subjects, popular with students and have excellent links with employers and local providers which further enhance the provision for our students.

We prioritise staff and student wellbeing and have realistic policies for feedback, data capture and homework. We recognise staff and student achievement and provide tailored CPD programmes which have been recognised in two Gold Awards from the Teacher Development Trust.
