Pierce Atwood LLP seeks an associate with 3-6 years of environmental and land use law experience to join and build the growing Environmental and Land Use Practice Group in its Portland, Maine office. The ideal candidate will have some experience in environmental and land use permitting before local, state, and federal resource agencies, litigating administrative and judicial appeals of such permitting decisions, and advising clients on environmental issues in real estate transactions. Other experience with federal and New England states’ air, water, land use, and waste management laws and regulations would be beneficial.
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required. (Per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series (e.g., Pfizer, Moderna), or, 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson).
Work Location Policy - all firm members are expected to work in the office at least three days a week, which allows the option to work remotely two days a week.
