Our company understands the needs of someone struggling with mental health disorders as well as drug and alcohol addiction. Most people are not aware that before someone attends a drug and alcohol rehab, they need to attend a detox treatment center first. Our facility offers a full continuum of care in-house. Our addiction treatment centers, including our location in Fort Lauderdale, FL are built on the premise of patient first healing. We are seeking an experienced Admissions Coordinator that can join us in our mission to help others on their journey to recovery.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for screens, answers, and inquires by telephone regarding program admissions. The Admissions Coordinator answers client referrals, gathers information on prospective clients, mails information packets, and tours prospective clients and their families. The Admissions Coordinator conducts initial telephone screening of potential clients and referents.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION

  • Conducts initial telephone screening of potential clients and referents to ensure that clients meet admission criteria.
  • Meets with client on admission to conduct face-to-face screening and reports to clinical team, ensuring that client is appropriate for admission.
  • Conducts initial assessment of client problems and needs and reports to clinical team in order to initiate treatment planning.
  • Prioritizes client needs and issues related to client orientation.
  • Alerts clinical and other staff to any special problems or issues that may affect treatment.
  • Takes phone calls of inquiry and effectively answers questions about the treatment program.
  • Upon initial contact, provides information to clients and families in order to help them decide about treatment, prepare for admission, and what they can expect to encounter.
  • Completes admission process efficiently and accurately, reviewing documents with the client so he / she is aware of rights and responsibilities and the nature of the various consents and releases that are being signed.
  • Provides client and family (if applicable) with orientation material that will help them acclimate to the treatment environment and make informed decisions.
  • Orientates the client to the treatment environment with sensitivity to new-client concerns, including potential physical and emotional discomfort.
  • Provides referrals for those individuals who are not eligible for the program.
  • Provides tours for prospective clients and their families.
  • Arranges for obtaining outside medical records in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Makes contacts conscientiously, as necessary, to notify concerned individuals of client's arrival.
  • Represents the program to referral sources, potential clients, and other outside individuals and agencies in a courteous, professional manner that reflects positively on the program and its staff
  • Protects the confidentiality of clients and the privacy of staff.
  • Notes client care and environmental issues and communicates with appropriate staff.
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Completes all tasks with concern for work quality.
  • Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with the company’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other operations.
  • Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Salary Full Time

$90,000-$150,000 With Bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
