As an Engineering Aide / Project Aide, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, , and manufacturer of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. The following are examples of duties that may be included:

• Reviewing technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies, perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation material, and handle peer reviews

• Generating engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schedules, and schematics

• Parts and design tracking from detail design to order, fabrication, receiving, disbursement, cleaning, installation and

• Performing detailed calculations using established formulas; preliminary analysis of data where guidelines are provided, dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data

• Lab and facilities personnel coordination for operations

• Attending daily and weekly team meetings to discuss technical, schedule and operations issues, etc.

• Weekly status chart package and reporting to programs/management

Basic Qualifications:

• Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience, and/or technical training

• Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve

• Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and skills

• Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a diverse team environment

• Ability to obtain security clearance

Desired Skills:
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences

• Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely on a weekly basis to management and customers

• Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers

• Microsoft Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management

• Performing design assessments and developing data driven solutions

• Laboratory and/or hardware and handling skills

• Strong skills in use of Python, C/C++, IDL, CREO, and/or Matlab

• Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) for procurement

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, scrum master and use of Jira boards
