A Day in the Life of a Janitor
As a Janitor, you will spend your day following a work checklist to complete tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, picking up garbage and recycling, cleaning bathrooms, removing snow and ice, and performing special cleanup work as requested by your manager. Each day is an opportunity to exceed our expectations, thus contributing to the overall success of our company!
What you need to be Successful at Thermo King
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- To be at least 18 years of age
- To be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
It’d be great if you also have:
- Previous janitor experience
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to be at work in a prompt and reliable fashion, demonstrating a cooperative and respectful work style and operating in adherence with all quality, safety, and other policies.
- A willingness to go above and beyond job specific tasks associated with the position to ensure the continual success of the entire plant operation.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday 2:30 – 11:30 p.m. If overtime exists, the shift will end an hour later.
