Scope of Position

The Student Assistant is a temporary student position. This is a team member responsible for assisting with a variety of duties that support three main entities: Clinic departments that provide direct patient care, Environmental Services and Central Sterile Supplies. He/she is a member of the Outpatient Care New Albany building department and is an important, assistive component of the support services which strive to provide effective tools that can assist our patients.

Position Summary

The Student Assistant has two main priorities: assisting with environmental care of the facility and creating greater clinic efficiency by taking on the responsibility of transporting medical instruments throughout the facility. Duties relating to the routine operation of Outpatient Care New Albany, including stocking, cleanliness, maintenance, clerical and non-patient care tasks may also be responsibilities of the Student Assistant. This position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications

Some schooling required.
