Job Description

The Server Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers, storage, virtualization, system patching and security, Azure, and Active Directory, including metric reporting and daily review of service delivery and availability.

Responsibilities
• Install and administer Windows 2016/2019/2022 servers
• Install server equipment in equipment racks for deployment
• Coordinate and schedule installation/upgrade tasks
• Write and maintain documentation of policies and procedures
• Review scheduled tasks and turnaround dates
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory
• Manage Print Servers/Queues
• Perform detailed analysis of system requirements to determine needs for preventative measures
• Is available nights and weekends as needed for upgrades/implementations/new deployments/support as necessary for business
• Testing products for release
• Capable of sharing knowledge with customers and peers
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in computer/equivalent is required
• Windows 2019/2022 Servers
• Virtual Server Farms (VMWare 7.x)
• Microsoft 365 Gov Cloud
• Strong experience with Active Directory, user management, and GPOs
• MCP certification beneficial
• Strong customer support experience
• Organized, and able to communicate well
• Experience with networking a plus
• Other pertinent certifications a plus
