Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Analyst to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to manage cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management. You will also be responsible for monitoring project performance, identifying potential issues, and providing recommendations for corrective action.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in detailed financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for projects of varying complexity, providing crucial insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor workflow, coordinate cost and schedule data, and proactively identify and address project delivery risks and issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Schedulers to develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules, continuously optimizing project efficiency.
  • Ensure project financial data aligns precisely with project completion objectives and integrates seamlessly with the overall project plan.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project budgets, cost plans, and financial information while exercising strict control over project expenditures.
  • Gather project financial information from key stakeholders, maintaining data accuracy and completeness, and engage effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Analyze project financial trends, comparing budget figures against actual and forecasted data, and provide recommendations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Attend and contribute to project status meetings, facilitating effective communication and decision-making within project teams.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized repository of project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of project records.
  • Skillfully manage project information and data within various software and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, or risk management.
  • 1+ year(s) with P6 scheduling software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of project management software, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in the utilities or construction industry is a plus.

Salary Range: $95,000/yr - $145,000/yr
