Purpose: Ensure your customers receive the product or service they purchased and troubleshoot any issues they may have with the equipment.
KPI
- Selling and promoting Digital Print Inks, Nucoat, Printer Service, and other related products/services to grow Falcon’s market share in the designated area.
- Technical support on large format printers including some of the below :
- Knowledge on operation of Printer/s including Versaworks at customers and at exhibitions.
- Setup & installation of printer and versaworks.
- Must be able to explain to customer do’s and dont’s regarding printer and Versaworks operation and settings. (including inks and conversions)
- Preparing of printer for safe movement from one destination to the next.
- Ability to identify fault regarding information from customer or sample print including manual fault finding.
- Knowledge of position and identification of spares inside/outside printer as well as normal mechanical movement of various parts. (including controlling and order of printer spares.)
- How to enter service mode. Safety procedures to remove or replace parts without damage to printer or yourself.
- Must be familiar using the right tool for job/problem at hand.
- Ability to sort out problem or to give advice to minor problems telephonically.
- Ability to test fuses and transistors on PCB (mainly surface mounted), and to replace correctly if needed.
- Regular reporting to your direct and staff management
- Handover of all private customers to Falcon/Uniplate, and no business can be done privately either i.r.o Ink sales, printer support, or any other area in conflict with Falcon/Uniplate business.
- Dress code, suitable and of a professional manner expected when dealing with customers and other Falcon staff.
- Must be able to do necessary adjustments, calibrations and setups relevant after specific parts replacement. (eg. Head alignment) physically and electronically as needed. Including Firmware upgrades.

- Service, maintenance, repairs and support as mentioned above are on the following printers as example:
- Mimaki: JV-3/JV-5; JV-33; CJV30
- Roland: SP-540i/SP-300i; SP-300/SP-300v/SP-540v; VP-300/VP-540; VP-300i/VP-540i; AJ-740/AJ740i; AJ-1000/AJ1000i; SC-500/SC-540/SC-545EX; RS-540/RS-640; SJ-1000/SJ-1045EX; VS-300v/VS-420/VS-540/VS-640; SJ-540/SJ-640/SJ-740; XJ-540/XJ-640/XJ-740; XC-540.
- Mimaki: JV-3/JV-5; JV-33; CJV30.
- Pinch roller error( Cable card replacement).
- Cut problems( environment match and adjustment, replacement of blade/blade holder or cutting strip/ Crop mark sensor cleaning or replacement).
- Printing related problems (Head alignment/Head replacement/ Fuses or Transistor replacement/
- Media related/ Maintenance(captops,wipers,wiper scraper, dampers and manual cleaning.)
- Ink Tubes (Removing of air from ink system/ Flushing out of tubes/Replacement).
- Scan Motor error (Cleaning and lubrication of rail, gears/Replacement of motor/Limit initialize to be done).
- Pinch Rollers (Cleaning or replacement).
- Media Clamp (Replacement of base/complete).
- Six monthly maintenance (Firmware, Consumables, Mechanical, Printing, Cutting and System report).IP address setup & configuration between PC & printer.*
- Valid Code 08 or higher Driver’s License.
