- Responsible for achieving sales and financial targets.
- Manage a client portfolio according to client values ( turnover up to up to R20m) and number of groups ( 150 -
250 groups) and credit facilities <R5m - Build and maintain client relationships and put in place a routine and process to explain, promote and sell
product offerings/financial solutions that meet the financial needs of the client - Acquire new risk groups and open new business accounts; execute on a virtual basis so as to build the client
relationship - 90% office based - Cross-sell additional value adding services and products such as internet Banking, Point-Of-Sale (POS) to
existing customers to assist in growing their businesses - Identify and refer sales leads to external business partners to manage risk as well as increase revenue e.g.
Business Banking insurance partner - Analyse existing portfolios/customer data to identify expansion and/or additional business opportunities utilising
available MIS and contact management strategy - Develop and implement a client-calling schedule in line with Customer Value Proposition (CVP)
- Ensure effective and appropriate pricing across all MBL products
- Focus on the migration of transactional business to the bank
Requirements
- Customer relationship management (CRM) principles and techniques
- How to interpret financial statements, balance sheets and basic financial ratios
- Standardized business banking transactional products and other core products relevant to small enterprises
- Business banking product offerings
- Understanding of collateral and balance sheets
- Multiple legal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships, etc.) in the business banking market
and the legislative restrictions & requirements governing these from a financial services perspective - Companies and Intellectual Properties Registration Act (CPIC) for correct documentation/mandate preparation
purposes - Knowledge of competitors offerings
- Regulations, Acts and Codes related to the banking environment.
- Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS), the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
- Diploma in Commerce or Finance
