A well-established company in George is looking for a Driver to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver produce to clients timeously.
• Monitor and maintain vehicles, i.e. vehicle services, cleanliness, fuel and license disk.
• Review and manage produce loaded on and off the truck.
• Pack, examine and inspect the produce loaded on and off the truck, corresponds to booking slips and delivery notes/invoices.
• Plan efficient and cost-effective routes, prior to conducting deliveries.
• Always provide a consistent professional customer service.
• Record activities in a logbook i.e. hours etc.
• Obey all traffic laws and report incidents of transgression immediately to management.
• Inspect the vehicle daily and report any maintenance/mechanical issues immediately to management
• Lock and always ensure the safety of the vehicle, in compliance with traffic laws.
• Clean the vehicle weekly displaying a professional appearance.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications/Competencies:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Valid Code 10 license is essential.
• Valid Drivers license is essential.
• Excellent driving record.
• 2 - 3 years experience in similar role is required.
• Ability to follow verbal directions, read maps, follow GPS.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routes.
• Ability to complete tasks/duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English) required.
• Excellent time-management skills required.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills required.
• Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties.
• Trustworthy and presentable.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
