What we need from you

A FULL Drivers Licence ( Learners Permit not accepted) & access to a car (as we are community based)

You MUST either have 1 years paid care experience or more in the last 3 years OR 2 Core Modules, Care Skills and Care of the Older Person before commencing employment.

If you do have paid experience but do not have both Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules these must be completed within 11 months from your start date.


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To deliver excellent quality of care to every client, allowing them to remain living independently in their own home
  • To support and respect our clients in their independence at home, encouraging choice and participation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be professional, caring, and compassionate whilst always delivering excellent quality of care.
  • Completing all care duties and tasks, detailed in the individual care plan
  • Assisting clients with all personal care: toileting, washing, dressing etc.
  • Assisting in practical support such as house cleaning; cooking; dish washing; etc.
  • Ensuring clients are provided with refreshments and light snacks, as required
  • Prompting clients to take medication (as required)
  • Promoting independence and choice where possible.
  • Upholding client’s rights and preserving their dignity, always
  • Maintaining HCIL standards, in line with our Policies and Procedures HCIL
