Role Purpose:

This role is required to lead and manage the Vodafone Ireland IT infrastructure landscape .
They are the escalation point for the whole IT organization towards the Infrastructure teams and the global infrastructure related requests/projects. Provides a coordination function among vertical infrastructure and local IT related teams, projects, processes. Overviewing and managing all IT related OPEX/CAPEX cost, SLAs and KPIs of the area. Delivers regular KPI and Budget reports and improvement plans.. This role is managing the area from security, resilience, geo resilience and performance point of view. Participation in projects, support of the developers, testers and test environments on infrastructure level. Responsible for lifecycle management of the IT infrastructure estate.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates, designs, documents, and managing in operation converged, multi-platform infrastructure that best fit to availability, security requirements and capacity demands for new and existing IT services to minimise service outages, ensure excellent customer experience and maximize Return on Investment (ROI)
Manages and reports on Vodafone Ireland KPI’s – Lifecycle management (including decommissioning) , Cloud and Geo Resilience
Manages overall Infra budget including cloud, while ensuring right sizing and cost optimisation is always in place.
Manages and maintains all local development environments.
Works closely with Infrastructure/cloud architects to ensure proper infrastructure preparation including communication between components to reach timely delivery of these for the projects.
Works closely with Cyber security programme to ensure our IT estate is compliant to the security policies.
Knows and managing all the processes and relevant teams to provide the best infrastructure service for both BAU and projects
Managing the performance, capacity, resilience, patching/vulnerability activities on infrastructure level
Plans, researches, evaluates and recommends new solutions, processes aligned with IT strategy.
Key Geo Resilience Spoc in IT . Develop and manage Geo Resilience plan for IT
Develop and execute contingency plans for infrastructure related software/hardware failures including isolated and major outages.
Works with infrastructure, application operations, delivery and service management teams to satisfy day to day issues and requests.
Actively and effectively cooperates with your internal (local, regional, global) and external contacts and stakeholders
Maintain good working relationship with all parties throughout various level of the organization
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Keeps all company policies and procedures
Working with Architects to define and implement lifecycle management and ensuring EOL plans are fed into the overall IT delivery plan.
Lead and drive Cloud Adoption to ensure meet local market KPI.
Providing consultation and technical guidance both internally in the team and external teams.

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

Minimum BSc Qualification
Azure, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred.
5 years demonstrated working experience in infrastructure management and technical/ infrastructure project management
Technical awareness and ability to quickly understand new technologies
Experience in building Geo resilient plans
Highly motivated, autonomous individual with strong methodological background and focus on business needs
Analytical skills, thoroughness and attention to details
Strong Budget management. Forecasting and Management of Budget upto 5m yearly
Experience in infrastructure operations/development, application development, application operations and connectivity is an advantage
Experience in dealing with an international, multi-cultural and distributed team with complex reporting lines
Presentation and communication skills will be required
Understanding of cloud-based solutions, data modelling and Data analysis would be important
Extensive vendor management experience
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent communicating skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues in simple terms
People skill, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills
Strong leadership skills
Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
