This role will support the sites day-to-day operations. Working across all departments to deliver and support Training activity. Create and maintain audit compliance by conducting regular reviews and audits of Training records. Drive Continuous Improvement across the training department to ensure on-going improvements are implemented that support user learning and audit compliance. Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete new hire Induction & plant tours.
  • Complete Classroom training on generic procedures as required.
  • Perform Sign off assessments on Operation steps.
  • Complete Training reviews to ensure operator competency.
  • Train designated trainers on Train the Trainer.
  • Create course content in Microchip’s online learning platform for Document updates as required.
  • Manage document / procedure updates ensuring all staff are trained.
  • Run Daily/weekly compliance reports.
  • Update/Create new learning plans as required.
  • Set users up on Microchip’s online learning platform and rollout of training as required.
  • Conduct Time & Motion Studies for all operation work steps as required.
  • Maintain Efficiency tracker for all Production lines.
  • Complete quarterly reviews with Production Supervisors.
  • Complete annual Training Needs Analysis with all functional managers.
  • Work with various local Skillnets to receive funding for external courses.
  • Audit Rep for DLA/ISO Audits for Operations Training.
  • Manage process improvements for on-the-job training in Production.
  • Manage training budget and process Purchase Orders for vendor payment.
  • Support continuous Improvement opportunities across Production.
  • Complete Systems training (Microchip Learning, email, Axapta etc.)
  • Co-ordinate TWI (Training within Industry) activity on-site.
  • Coach engineers & Supervisors on how to create TWI documents.
  • Review/create new TWI documents ensuring content meets TWI JI requirements.
  • Manage TWI implementation by focusing on known problem areas.
  • Train staff on Job instruction.
  • Any other duties as required.
  • Demonstrate and adhere to the Microchip values.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Training & Education or Equivalent would be advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a production environment.
  • Experience in performing training as part of your role.
  • Experience in designing and developing Procedure/work Instructions.
  • Experience in TWI Methodology.
  • Experience in using Lean manufacturing tools.
Skills/Attributes
  • Strong Presentation Skills.
  • Knowledge of e-learning authoring tools.
  • Proficient in IT skills to include Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated and eager to learn new skills, they need to be flexible, excellent team player and demonstrate the Microchip values.
