We have exciting opportunities for Graduate Technicians based in our Landing Gear facility in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. The roles will be in our Machine Shops and Mechanical Shops. The individuals will be part of our dynamic, highly skilled team for overhaul and repair of Aircraft Systems/Component products. Our Landing Gear overhaul shop is among the top 6 in the world having previously been awarded “Landing Gear overhaul shop of the year”.

For the role, an understanding of aircraft manuals and systems is advantageous. Candidates should have good practical ability with strong attention to detail and good understanding of materials, metallurgy and systems in particular.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out machining tasks as instructed by your area team leader across a number of machining operations
  • Tasks include operation of milling machines, lathes, horizontal borers, hydraulic press and grinders
  • Carry out inspection tasks as instructed by your area team leader across a number of inspection processes
  • Ensure that all work and duties assigned are completed in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with development of new processes and or component capability
  • Report any technical or airworthiness issues to the Team Leader

Core Competencies / Skills Required:
  • Have studied a third level degree minimum level 7 and successfully completed related exams
  • Competence is necessary in repair, overhaul or inspection of components and aircraft systems
  • The ability to use correctly and hold the Company Approvals relevant to the area
  • Display a good working knowledge of technical matters relevant to the activities of the Business Unit
  • Ability to interpret and apply requirements of maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, instructions, service bulletins and job-cards
  • A good standard of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to adapt to change and work as part of a team
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn and implement new systems
  • Where applicable, the person must satisfactorily complete a Dublin Aerospace competency assessment procedure based on GM2 145.A.30(e) prior to working unsupervised. Ref. MOE 3.14

Essential Criteria:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current valid airside pass / able to pass a 5 year security background check
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug screening
  • Good working knowledge Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): Excel in particular
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Permitted to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.
