The Brand and Category Strategy Specialist reports into the Brand and Category Strategy Manager, the main responsibilities for the role will be assisting in the development of a global marketing and brand strategy for the Consumer category (collaborating closely with the Consumer Commercial teams) and controlling the strategic direction of the product portfolio in line with category and market needs. They are also responsible for supporting the creation of an insights driven marketing and product strategy and defining priority customer segments and channels per brand per market.
Hybrid and based at our offices in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny.

Key Responsibilities
Managing the master brand and category strategy toolkits and assets
Works collectively with the consumer commercial teams to develop new brands and new market entry strategies that drive business growth
Closely collaborates with the consumer commercial teams to develop insight-led consumer value propositions for consumer brands as required to support delivery of the Consumer category strategic roadmap for domestic and international markets
Works closely with Market Research and Insights team on brand health tracking and reporting, ensuring that the Consumer category is on trend and relevant both in terms of the products brought to market and the marketing campaigns that are executed
Translates marketing insights and analysis of key issues into clear & compelling brand playbooks, detailing the over-arching pricing strategy, margin analysis and guardrails per product per market
Assists key teams / projects that require guidance and assistance on brand strategy, including regional teams working on brand positioning for their region
Event management for Global trade shows for customer / consumer events
Supports Brand and Category Strategy Manager on certain projects as necessary
Consumer Development Budget Management and Reconciliation
Works on central enabler projects e.g. development of new US supply routes and marketing technology

Key Requirements:
+3 years’ experience in Strategy, marketing and/or Brand management
Brand development and marketing competency, ideally in the FMCG sector
International experience required
