About the role

We are looking for a RD&A Senior Technologist for our location in Naas, Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate food creatives developing new products for the poultry, red meat and meat alternative markets. In this role you will be working as part of the Meat & Meat Alterative RD&A team based in Naas, working with customers to build relationships, and developing new products with a view to launch with key customers. You will own concept research, development and product creation for your customers using Kerry technologies to differentiate & create insight led products bringing to life sustainable nutrition This role will involve travel within the UK & Ireland As a senior RDA Technologist, you will make a positive impact across our UK&I Business Unit in the following ways.

Key responsibilities

• Customer focused role creating healthier, tastier, and more sustainable products in line with market requirements
• Supporting our customers achieve sustainability targets through utilizing Kerry Technologies

• Strong market & customer focus - full understanding of the Kerry portfolio and business capability, and delivery, to support new customer concepts.
• Leverage and build learnings from the wider Meat and Meat Alternatives team to support future developments for the UK&I market
• Processing expertise with customer support in factories - ability to problem solve & think through challenges
• Building and creating market leading products based on insights from Chef, Marketing and Commercial teams

• Leading customer engagement, presentations and RDA based communication,
• Mentoring other team members, where appropriate

Qualifications and skills

• Possess minimum of 5 years’ experience in a product development role, ideally (not essential) in Meat or Savoury food development.
• Have experience of building relationships with customers
• Demonstrate a passion for developing great tasting concepts (demonstrates creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food)
• BSc in Food Science / Technology or other such related field
• Previous experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing
• Demonstrating a passion for learning, driving positive customer relationships and building towards the future of the food industry
