Our colleagues in the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) team are looking for a new EHS Practitioner.


You will support the EHS Manager in the development and implementation of Environmental (Env) and Natural Resource Conservation (NRC) strategies and programs in support of the required business and plant strategies.

This includes owning and managing the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive EHS compliance systems at plant level.


HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Lead and execute required Environment & NRC programmes to ensure the site complies with both local legislative requirements and Kellogg standards.
  • Lead and execute the implementation and maintenance of the Environment management system in line with Kellogg policies and standards and coordinate internal audits / inspections integral to site Env & NRC performance.
  • Lead the collation, monitoring and review of Env & NRC KPIs and present reports via DDS (daily direction setting) monthly, quarterly, etc. meetings.
  • Key point of contact with external regulatory authorities and responsible for collation and submission of required regulatory reports (e.g., EPR, UK ETS, CCA, etc.) within specified timeframes.
  • Lead the development and execution of Environment & NRC corrective and preventative action (CAPA’s) plans resulting from internal or external audits, inspections, events, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with Technical Team members to develop, implement, and execute site sustainability plans.
  • Site Lead of KWS (Kellogg’s Working System) NRC CoE (center of excellence) to drive sustainable progression through each phase
  • Key member of KWS EHS CoE to drive sustainable progression through each phase
  • Build capabilities within the plant work teams by developing and delivering the relevant information, instruction, and training (KWS LWS – Energy 8, NRC App, etc.)
  • Co-ordinate the closure of incident investigations ensuring full RCA (root cause analysis), tracking associated CAPA’s have been closed and appropriately recorded and signed off
  • Lead by example and work collaboratively with plant work teams to build EHS capabilities and pro-actively promote safe and sustainable behaviours to influence a positive EHS culture

REQUIRED:


  • EHS qualifications (IEMA / NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or equivalent)
  • Understanding / working knowledge of domestic EHS legislative requirements and best practice
  • Understanding / working knowledge of EHS programmes
  • Understanding / working knowledge of hazard awareness, risk perception and risk assessment
  • Strategic thinking
  • Capability to “Lead from the front and not only Advise”
  • Effective and resilient ‘hands on’ communicator and motivator
  • Flexible, problem solving approach and strong team player
  • Manufacturing plant work experience
  • Experience with management systems and document control
  • Microsoft Office skills


PREFERRED:

  • Work experience within FMCG
