  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures
  • Assist with the planning and record of ship visits and inspections in accordance with the Company's vessel Class survey.
  • Coordinate all Purchase Requisition & Scope of Works in line with international and national requirements.
  • Continuously participate in the improvement of Quality, protection plans and procedures.
  • Ensuring owned vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full

compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.

  • Liaising with the Maintenance Engineer to ensure timely delivery of supplies, and that purchase requisitions are being tracked and expedited in a timely manner. Bringing to the attention of the Head of Offshore Equipment any items which have the potential to disrupt operations.
  • Ensure sufficient spares are available.
  • Ensuring that all mandatory procedures i.e. Tool box talks, Risk assessments, permits to work, hot work permits etc, are used effectively and filed for audit purposes.
  • Ensure Marine KPls are met and Port' Marine Units availability is not affected by the planned maintenances.
  • Developing, maintaining and update the Planned Maintenance schedule for all vessels, including

external firefighting and oil pollution equipment, is being operated and reported in the manner prescribed in the Mwani QHSSE system and is in compliance with the ISM Code and MLC 2006.

  • Vetting and assessing the requirements from the vessels Chief Engineers
  • Preparing the subsidiary Vessels for surveys required by the administrations and classes

Management of the bunker and lubricant requirements of all vessels;

  • Upkeep and maintenance of all vessel's hull, plant and machinery and compliance with flag, class, local and other International regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Managing Dry Dock works, including planning and ensuring works are executed to company requirements, Classification Society requirements, manufacturer's instructions and recommendations and preparing vessel repair specifications.
  • Inspecting and ensuring the housekeeping and cleanliness of all associated machinery and work areas, and the applicable Marine HSE management ;
  • Monitoring and producing Utilization /Availability/ Fuel Usage Reports for each vessel
  • Developing work instructions related to operation and maintenance of vessel machinery
  • Ensuring all works are executed in accordance with the approved Permit to Work System;
  • Ensuring engineering related ISM compliance.
  • Participating in risk assessments where applicable.
  • Participating in Classification Society surveys and ensures rectification of any Class and statute non conformances.
  • Preparing appraisal reports for vessels' engine crew.

Carry out additional duties as may from time to time be required.
