An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual who wishes to develop their career within a finance function. We are offering an Apprenticeship within the Research and Innovation Directorate at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. This is a fixed term contract for 15 months with a potential of extending.

The successful candidate will work within the Departments Funding team, working under the supervision of the Research Funding Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and to achieve an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification (depending on current qualifications). You will need to be dedicated to completing the qualification and have an interest in the Health Service.

You will work as a key member of the Directorate to support the work of the R&I Research Funding function to ensure that all financial information pertaining to research activity is accurate, comprehensive and processed in accordance with Trust procedures.

The role will focus on essential activities including raising purchase order requisitions, sales invoicing and credit notes, and will also contribute to larger projects, for example the implementation of the EDGE system.
