What we want The Facilities Coordinator II, under general supervision, coordinates routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance. Keeps buildings in safe, secured condition and in constant good working order. Coordinates maintenance and management related to mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial, and landscaping to ensure building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests. ALL physical requirements must tie directly to an essential job duty. This position is NOT located in the United States. One must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.   • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of related experience in facilities, building maintenance, or facilities construction scheduling and inventory
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls
  • Ability to coordinate management, planning, and organization of building maintenance and operations

Required Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license
Other Requirements and Factors:
  • Daily duties to be performed on-site
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or exert force to move heavy weighted objects.
  • Ability to be on call for emergencies.
  • Ability to move about buildings and throughout campus.
  • Ability to navigate in cramped spaces.
  • Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder.
  • Occasionally required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than four years of facility management experience and/or experience in higher education
  • Two or more years of supervisory/team leadership and communication experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiar knowledge with facility management software including Service Now, Archibus/CAFM
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
  • IFMA or APPA
Responsibilities: Facility Management
  • Serves as point of contact for maintenance issues to include custodial, plumbing, utilities, energy conservation, building automation systems, electrical systems, facility equipment, hazardous conditions, damaged walls, floors, and ceilings, building safety and security, and leaks.
  • Tracks maintenance requests through ServiceNow ticketing system and Telecommunications.
  • Serves as a point of contact or backup contact for all building inspections
  • Conducts daily walk-throughs to ensure maintenance and permit to work activities are on task and in line with University and regulatory standards.
  • Prepares required work requests for electrical, plumbing, custodial, carpentry, key and sign shops to perform work required to maintain facilities for instructional and research use.
  • Serves as a contact for after-hours emergencies.
  • Assists with and may coordinate departmental moves.
  • Provides backup support to other Facility Coordinators as needed.
  • Performance of these duties require operating a university vehicle to drive to various locations in a timely manner.
  • May Supervise others.
Coordination
  • Serves as backup point of contact with Capital Projects team and contractors to coordinate renovation and construction projects.
  • Provides coordination of building access for Facilities related activities with occupant approval.
  • Provides Facilities support for building security via hard keys and electronic security management.
  • Assists in the coordination of emergency plans including annual fire drill, communicating access, safety and security rules, reporting security violations, etc.
  • Coordinates with events team on common space usage for events, including after-hours use.
  • Assists with the execution of space inventory.
Communication
  • Coordinates communication between occupants and other stakeholders regarding facility-related issues to include maintenance, emergency preparedness and construction.
  • Assists in the organization of and reports fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
  • Maintains and updates all building emergency evacuation signage in collaboration with F&LS and Emergency Management operations.
  • Promotes safe building access practices for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Coordinates communication between all concerned parties.
  • Coordinates with outsourced area maintenance, landscape, and construction crews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
