Job Title: Estimator Location: Maidstone, Kent Konnect are currently working on behalf of a an industry-leading Main Contracting construction company based in Maidstone, Kent, known for its commitment to excellence and a vibrant company culture. They are seeking a motivated and skilled Estimator to join their dynamic commercial team. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in analysing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to the success of our construction projects. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather project details and specifications. Analyse project plans and drawings to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates. Utilize industry knowledge and historical data to ensure costings align with market trends. Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantity calculations. Present and defend estimates to senior management and clients. Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for cost-effective pricing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry is advantageous, but we are open to candidates at any level. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in construction estimating software. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
