Location: Maidstone, Kent

Konnect are currently working on behalf of a an industry-leading Main Contracting construction company based in Maidstone, Kent, known for its commitment to excellence and a vibrant company culture.

They are seeking a motivated and skilled Estimator to join their dynamic commercial team. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in analysing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather project details and specifications.
• Analyse project plans and drawings to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
• Utilize industry knowledge and historical data to ensure costings align with market trends.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantity calculations.
• Present and defend estimates to senior management and clients.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for cost-effective pricing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry is advantageous, but we are open to candidates at any level.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
